“I’m reporting in on our field test with your numbers songs and I have to say ... L. loves them. She listened intently when she first heard them in the car, then she made sure we took the CD out so she could listen to it on her own player. A few days later we got up and she wasn't in bed; she had crept downstairs and was listening to the CD in the dining room! We often catch her humming the tunes. In fact, some of them have implanted themselves in my mind too, especially elevenses (although my favourites have to be 9 and 5). I think it's fair to say that it's a hit in this household. They're superb and will be loved by all!
Plus, the song about Pluto got her asking questions and we've spent the whole weekend doing space things, building a scale model of the Solar System. She's now fully au fait with the IAU and accepts their decision on Pluto. I think you might have 4-year-old autograph hunter. She's into Oliver the Penguin now.”
These are the sweetest songs! I’ve played them for my daughter, M. It's the perfect vibe to listen to while coloring, making art, etc. The whole thing has a warm and magical feel - spot on for kids in this age range.
As a mom and creative, I’m always looking for children’s books that blend education, music, and imagination — and this one completely delivers! The Wonder Club by Rie Sinclair is a joyful, engaging journey through numbers and sound, brought to life through clever rhymes, vibrant artwork, and musical storytelling.
Each page pairs counting with rhythm, giving kids a fun and memorable way to connect with math and melody. The fact that it’s also compatible with the Yoto Player makes it even more interactive — perfect for singalongs at home or in the classroom.
It’s clear this project was created with heart and collaboration. The music production is polished, the lyrics are playful, and the illustrations (by @lucyirvingart) are absolutely charming.
If you have little ones who love music, numbers, or simply discovering the world in creative ways, The Wonder Club is a must-have addition to your shelf!
Bravo to Rie and the amazing creative team — can’t wait to see what’s next from this magical world.
On first reading, looking and hearing, without children; images fab, music lovely and soothing and words interesting. Concepts seem quite complex, however, this is superb for chilling with parents music. Going to sleep music. Listening to this would be relaxing yet educational for children and jazzily entertaining for caregivers.
